This was a great building and a great condo. Good location, and very clean. Check in and out was easy and not to far from the building. Plenty of parking available. Nice family centered vacation location. We would definitely like to stay again. Only major complaints were too many decorations in the condo that babies can get into so had to find places to move it. All and try and remember we’re to put it all back when we left. The recycling was also a pain they should offer recycling on site.

This was our third year at this property for 3 months . . . Jan - end of March - we have reserved again for 2020. We love the location, so central to amenities e.g. golf, restaurants, shopping, services, etc.. There are always improvements being made to the building e.g painting hallways, improving pool and outdoor lounge areas - the unfortunate part for us as guests is that there is always interruption in some area - sadly there is not a huge focus on safety e.g. wet paint signs, no notice on impromptu renovations (no knocking on a door to say that the hallway was being painted), gates to pool area left open after hours, etc.. I suffered a very severe fall because of one of these issues - two building staff cam to my aid at the time but no one again ever checked on me and we passed staff who were aware of the fall several times!! This was also reported to the management company but we were never apprised of any follow-up!! The unit itself provides an amazing view of the ocean and beach - we love it!! General deep cleaning definitely needs to be improved e.g. walls, ceiling fans, patio doors, etc.. I am quite receptive to doing my own cleaning upon arrival as this is our home for 3 months but I truly believe that these pieces should be attended to before arrival. I left the management company with a list, they made notes - I'll be curious to see if this has been attended to upon arrival next time. Supplies in the unit are quite adequate and we are always noting improvement made by the owner - e.g. one large appliance at a time (annually), added small appliances, etc. It's time for a new stove and microwave!! The furniture and decor is dated but that's OK - my only criticism about quality is the interior of the drawers of master bedroom furniture - the wood isn't well finished and catches on clothing. Having said all of this we do choose to return and really look forward to coming back!! ODVR is a welcome on-site ear and set of hands!!

Overall, pretty good experience...picking up keys and parking passes was simple and only about a mile away from the actual property. The property itself has a covered multilevel parking garage ( but the elevator in the garage did not work for the first two days)...room was nice enough and plenty of space. The room was direct ocean view, which is what we wanted. The bed sheets in the master did not fit right, but the property sent someone over the next day to put on the correct size sheets. The pool and lazy river were clean and the kids really enjoyed them. The beach was great (it always is; it is the BEACH afterall). Check out was easy too. Great location on North Myrtle Beach. Everything you need is within a reasonable drive. The beach was great. Not too busy while we were there. Nice waves. Relaxing vacation. The condo was as described. Not the most modern, up to date furnishings and there's definitely an opportunity to make it a bit cleaner (behind the furniture, under the beds, some of the dishes). All in all though, it was a comfortable condo, with plenty of space for the 6 of us.

This 3 BR 3 BA condo at Windy Hill Dunes is without a doubt the nicest beach rental I have stayed in. We have rented for over 35 years, and this IS tops. The unit is equipped with everything we needed and the quality of the inventory is excellent. Needless to say the view is splendid. This short stretch of North Myrtle is not overpopulated or commercialized.

This condo was all described and more. The condo was in excellent condition, clean and very spacious for our family of 7! The female attendant at the pool was very friendly, kept everyone under control and very attentive to the needs of the guests. The owners even had a "welcome to our condo" card for us! We would definitely rent this one again!!!

This is the second year that we stayed in this unit for 3 months - January, February and March. We love the location . . . the view is spectacular and shopping of all types is close by! We have found that during these 'winter' months, the pool and lazy river are slow to be operational . . . we would love it if these amenities could be up and going for at least March. The owner is constantly providing upgrades/replacement to aging appliances, flooring, etc.. We appreciate this and look forward to a continuation of this practice - we have reserved again for 2019, The ODVR team are the best when it comes to responding to requests, 'fixing' things and answering questions!!

We have been staying at Windy Hill Dunes since the year it was built. This is only the second year we have only needed a 3 bedroom instead of a 4 bedroom and we were a little disappointed. For somebody else, this unit may be wonderful but we have stayed in others that were more updated. Also, this is the first time I stayed in a unit without a hairdryer. I went to WalMart and bought one for $9.99 so I would think the owners may want to offer that amenity. Also, this unit has an old two slice toaster. When you have 6 people eating at the same time, making two slices of toast at a time is very time consuming. Again, a very inexpensive amenity that should be changed. I have never given a bad review but I just want to share my honest opinion about this unit.

We will certainly make the owner aware that guests would like to see a few more comfort items included with their stay. The things that you mentioned are easily fixable and really should not reflect overall on this great property and Windy Hill Dunes complex. The pool and grounds are beautifully kept and the location cannot be beat for a quick trip to dinner or entertainment in BareFoot Landing, as well as anything in a 10 minute drive around North Myrtle Beach attractions. excellent stay, great condo

Glad to hear that your vacation was a peaceful retreat. You picked a great Windy Hill Dunes condo to enjoy a little downtime. The location in the heart of Windy Hill, near BareFoot Landing, makes it very easy to do many things locally in a quick 5 minute radius, but just a you did, you can choose to keep things as simple and relaxing as you would like with all of the great amenities the complex offers. The owner does do the little extras to keep the place well-maintained and family friendly. Thank you for sharing your thoughts about this condo and let us know if you would like to return.

We stayed at Windy Hill Dunes #1502 for four nights with our 5 children in April, 2018. The management staff was VERY friendly, helpful and professional. The room was very clean and had an excellent view from the balcony. The property, including pool, lazy river and hot tub were all in great condition and very clean. We met a couple of residents who lived at Windy Hill Dunes full time and they were super nice and also helpful.
The unit itself was excellent. It was very affordable and there was plenty of room for us and 5 kids. It had 3 bathrooms, a full kitchen, and a washer/dryer. The A/C worked great, and there was free Wi-Fi and plenty of channels to watch on TV. The description and pictures on the website are very accurate.
The building is in a great location; it took us only 15 minutes to get to Broadway at the Beach, even less time to Barefoot Landing and we were in walking distance of some great small restaurants. There was a place just a couple of minutes walking distance down the beach to do Parasailing, Banana Boats and Kayaking.
I would highly recommend Windy Hill Dunes #1502.

The condo was just as pictured and perfect for the 4 adults and 3 children in our party. The owners had beach chairs and umbrellas in the closet, which were very helpful. The location was lovely. Our kids loved the pool area and we were very happy being right on the beach.

The complex, Windy Hill Dunes, does offer great family amenities and the ocean front location in Windy Hill cannot be beat. We have a large family with kiddos who keep getting larger! We have 3 teenage girls, 1 almost teen boy, 1 mother-in law, 1 hubby, and me. We love the N Myrtle Beach area, and were on the search for a condo that we could afford and that could hold all of us. This property was perfect. It was well-kept, renovated, and has simply stunning views! We would definitely recommend and revisit this beautiful home!

great place, but not much available to walk to at the beach

Thank you for your review. North Myrtle Beach is more residential than the City of Myrtle Beach, so a car is definitely necessary for enjoying all this small town has to offer. There are a few businesses in the Windy Hill section of the beach (a small corner store and a hamburger joint) and most visitors find the peace and slower pace of North Myrtle Beach to be just what they are looking for in a quiet vacation spot. There are other sections of town that may give you additional walk to options - next time try the Crescent Beach section. And we'll be happy to help you plan another visit!
