Winter getaway
Great stay,fantastic location.
3 month stay at this unit (Jan,Feb,Mar). Unit was clean and well stocked. It has everything you would need for the beach (beach chairs,towels,umbrellas,etc.) I've stayed in many units over the years but none stocked as well as this one. The cleaning products exceeds expectations and I found myself ordering many of the products for my home in PA.
There were numerous renovations going on with the entire complex which did create some inconvenient setbacks. I guess that's to be expected when you vacation in the winter months.
As usual,the Staff at ODVR could not have been more friendly and helpful.

Family vacation
We were very pleased with the condition of the condo and all the amenities! Everything was clean. The high chair and pack n play were clean and in great shape. Lots of towels and supplies. We’re hoping to stay here again!

Sweet Family Condo for Vacation
From the moment we booked with ODVR, it was a fantastic experience. The folks at ODVR were very friendly and helpful. The condo was clean and had everything you needed...a home away from home. We were close to everything. The views from the balcony were great. The other family vacationers were very nice and respectful as well. It was a great place to have my older kids all back under one roof for a week to spend together. We definitely will consider this condo again. Hats off to the owners and ODVR. Thanks!!

July 4th Week Vacation 2023
Very satisfied with our vacation from the time we checked in until we left. The ODVR staff was great, and the unit was very nice with all the amenities we wanted. Spacious and very clean. Super location located on the beach. Ample parking and very seldom did we wait long on the elevators.

Home Away From Home
First of all, let me just say the people at the check in place were very friendly and went over everything. The office is about 3 minutes from the actual Unit. Once we got to the the place, it was clean and was even better looking than the pictures. The kitchen was fully stacked with everything you needed since we were planning on cooking to save money. There was an issue with the hallway bath and the water not draining fast enough and they had a guy out within the hour. He was friendly and fixed the issue right away. The storage unit had lots of beach stuff for us to use which was great. The view of the ocean was amazing as well. We liked the area as it was less crowded than most of the Crescent beach area. If you are on the fence about renting this unit, I would say pull the trigger. Next time we plan on going to Myrtle Beach we will definitely look at renting this unit again. Heaven on Earth
My entire family love our stay at this rental property. The kitchen was beyond well stocked and I lacked for nothing when cooking. We had a slight problem with the ice maker when we first arrived but that problem was solved in no time and the gentleman who did fix it was friendly and a true gentleman. There were about 15 beach towels provided and the storage locker had plenty of things needed for our days on the beach. Toys, boogy boards, sand chairs, umbrella everything was provided by the owner. The rooms were spacious, clean and tastefully decorated. I will definitely stay here again. I loved sitting on the patio and listening to the waves every night. This place was heaven to me.

Decent Place to Stay
The location on the beach is nice but the unit and property overall seem a bit dated. Room was a little dirty upon arrival and we had a couple of issues with the shower in the hall leaking and not draining so that we couldn't use it. I sent an email about it because the paperwork indicates that if you call after hours and it is not an emergency then they charge you. I told someone the next day when they called to confirm out checkout the person i spoke to was a little rude saying that i should also call but i am on vacation and busy so think the email should have sufficed. Otherwise, everyone was friendly. The whole binder thing and all of the long list of checkout instructions seemed unnecessary considering the large cleaning fee you are paying. Did the job for our trip but would not choose this property again.

This condo has it all! The owners provide beach chairs/umbrellas/toys/beach towels...that is uncommon and much appreciated! Also the high chair & pack 'n play was a plus for us, we would have had to rent those otherwise. Beds were comfy, layout is great! The only suggestion I have is to stock a few more kitchen/dish towels, we only found one.

Great Week bin NMB!!
Overall it was excellent 5**'s for sure. Six people in our group & everyone loved the unit, location & near-by restaurants. If was difficult to figure out how the light switches worked and there were what appeared to be some dead outlets, but we were able to get all of our devices up & running so we didn't care. The TV remotes were a bit challenging at first. Overall, the unit & the building including the elevator were all very clean, comfortable furniture, & the best porch furniture I have seen. Our fridge's ice maker was frozen up and maintenance was there quickly to fix it. My wife and I are difficult to please, but all 6 people in our group agreed that this place is "Highly Recommended"!!

Great time - great location!
This condo worked out well for three couples. We were on the beach and close to plenty of restaurants and Highway 17 if we wanted to venture further. Plenty of seating in the living room for all of us and also on the deck. Would stay here again.

Excellent condo; great location; average property
Comfortable condo, great decor, with everything included! Owner thought of everything. So great not having to take beach chairs, umbrella and beach towels. House & balcony furniture were comfortable. Reasons for 4 stars instead of 5 are due to the property, not the owners. The workout room smelled too bad to utilize the entire time we were there. Access to the beach is through the pool deck, which was locked at 10pm each night. After that, you had to take the public access next door, which didn't have a means to rinse sand off feet before entering the property. Also, the lazy river was bathwater-warm with green-stained walls. Finally, the pool bathrooms were not accessible with our keys. Overall, it was a great trip. We couldn't have asked for a better condo, but the building facilities could be managed better.

Thank you kindly for taking the time to review this property. The owner does provide a well stocked rental so that your stay will be absolutely perfect. We apologize that the grounds left you feeling disappointed. We reached out to the HOA of the complex regarding your concerns and learned that the HOA is aware of the workout room and will be addressing it. The pool is locked at night to offer safety, as well as peace and quiet to all guests. However, the wooden walkway (showers) to and from the beach is always open and the complex can be directly accessed by walking around the gated pool perimeter to the garage. You should not have to use the public beach path next door, but you certainly can if it's convenient. The lazy river is a shallow water feature that will certainly warm up during the peak season -- we have been at 100 degree days since mid-May. Our local ocean temperatures are also at 90 degrees, so staying cool can be a challenge. The tiled walls of the lazy river were originally much brighter but have faded and are due to be resurfaced this fall. We appreciate that you still found this condo to be "Excellent" and will pursue the HOA for speedy updates that will make a difference for future guests.

Spectacular Ocean Beachfront Condo
This is the first time our family used a property management company for our vacation needs and we couldn't have been more satisfied.

Our stay occurred a week after Hurricane Florence came through the area. We weren't sure whether our vacation was going to happen but the property management company kept us informed the entire week before our stay which was very reassuring.

This condo has a spectacular view of the ocean which is why we rented this particular condo. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony every day drinking our coffee and watching the sun rise.

The condo itself was beautiful and had everything that you could possible need in the kitchen!

The management company staff was so helpful even providing us recommendations on where to eat and things to do.

Very satisfying experience and we will go back.

South Shore Villas
This was my first trip to Myrtle Beach and chose the right place to stay. This condo was amazing and the pictures do not do justice. The condo was so spacious and clean. The view of the beach and ocean was spectacular. The condo had a great pool area and the lazy river was so relaxing and fun. The condo was a 30 second walk to the beach which was awesome. So much to do in the area and will definitely be taking another trip down to Myrtle Beach in the future and will stay in this condo for sure!

Thank you for your thoughtful review about this condo. This South Shore Villas unit does offer all of the bells and whistles that make getting away a real retreat. You could practically just bring a toothbrush and swimsuit and have everything you need. The tropical decor and amenities will make up for anything you might have forgotten and you can just take time to relax. The condo is spacious enough for a family, or two, to gather inside for meals, tv and game night, or breakfast and sunbathing on the well furnished deck. The complex is located in the heart of Crescent Beach where everything you could want in the NMB area is within a 10 minute drive or less. This condo offers the perfect combination of relaxation and entertainment. We do hope you will plan to return.

1002 SouthShore Villa - North Myrtle Beach
This condo was absolutely perfect! They provided every single thing you can think of that you will need for the beach as well as cooking and sleeping comfortably, which makes it so easy for traveling to not have to overpack or go buy these things! The location is awesome, right on the strip & beach front, close to stores etc. They provide bedding, pots and pans, beach chairs, sand toys , beach and standard towels... and the view!! Step out on the balcony and watch the ocean, gorgeous!! Plus you can see the pool, lazy river etc right from your balcony if you have older kids that swim independently. By far the best condo we’ve rented, will come Back!!

Awesome vacation rental!
One of the best condos we’ve ever rented. The condo was spotless and equipped with everything needed; chairs, towels, kitchen equipment, you name it. The beds were incredibly comfortable (we plan to buy these beds for our home). The view from the balcony is unbelievable. I could sit out there forever. The beach is right there, you don’t even have to cross the street and the pool and lazy river are added bonuses. We will be back!

Enjoyable Stay

Beautiful condo in a great location
We had an amazing, relaxing vacation. The condo was beautiful. We had a fantastic view from the balcony. Everything was very clean. (One issue with the sleep sofa, but it was handled pretty quickly). . The condo was in a nice peaceful location. The beach itself was clean and beautiful. We did have two cold rainy days, so having the 3D tv and movies came in handy. Our only complaint would be that with twelve people, including two babies, not being able to do full loads of laundry is very inconvenient. The sign on the washer said only three beach towels at a time, and the dryer takes forever, even with only three in it. Also, the ice maker wasn't working properly, which was inconvenient at meals. Overall though, the condo was amazing and three small inconveniences certainly didn't ruin our wonderful vacation. Thank you so much!

Thank you for your review and rating of our condo. We agree - South Shore Villas is a great location and this condo offers more than your typical vacation rental. The 3D TV is a great bonus and the movies provided makes it easy to enjoy a night in with family or to pass a rainy day, as you experienced. Our guests are asked to report all issues as soon as they are found and we couldn't find your report for the ice maker. We would certainly have addressed the issue (like we did with the sleep sofa) but we are glad you still enjoyed your vacation in spite of the inconveniences. Happy Camper
We were very pleased with the condo. It was well equipped and the furnishings were quite nice. The view was spectacular and we really lucked in this year with the weather.
Overall we were very pleased. ODVR was very good to deal with and we would have booked again for next year but we waited to long and missed our chance.

We always offer our current option to rent again for the next season and I'm sorry this South Shore Villas condo got rented before you were ready to commit.
