Fantastic cottage with terrific beach access!
We were extremely happy with this house. The photos and descriptions don't tell the full story - it's even better than it seems! The kitchen was PERFECTLY stocked. I cook a lot, and we have 4 kids, and there was everything we need. I usually take so much kitchen gear, but everything we needed was there (actual usable pots and pans, great dishes, pyrex, baking pans, etc). The pool set up is GREAT! It's 2 minutes to the beach, and a great entry point too, not over crowded, with a ramp, and quiet neighborhood. We loved the layout with our kids all near the common areas and not too spread out. The only thing I would REALLY recommend is a dining table that seats at least 6. The current 4 person dining table is just not enough for a house that sleeps this many people. We adapted by eating outside every night, but it seems like an easy switch for the owners. The owners left us a very thoughtful welcome package, with the best starter kit we've ever had at a beach house!!! and a hand written note. Incredibly thoughtful. We also really loved working with the staff in the management office. They were fantastic! Very helpful and friendly.

Clean, quiet & convenient
Very cute house and plenty of space. Everything was clean. Beach is right up the word. 3 min max walk. Shops,restaurants and attractions are all less than 10 mins from the house. We had a great time and many memories made.

Such a Great Overall Place!!
This was our second time staying at the Turtles Nest beach house. I believe this stay was better than the first, the beds were super comfy, the pool was AWESOME, the back yard was great for the fur babies and kids, Everyone had lots of space for sleeping and parking. Everything was up to expectations, we will be booking for a third time next year :)

TURTLE'S NEST
This property is fantastic lots of space for people to sleep. Well stocked kitchen for cooking and baking . No spices but everything else is there. 2 minute wall to cresent beach!!! 5 stars

Turtles Nest is a great vacation spot!
We were very pleased with our stay at Turtles nest! The pool and fenced in back yard were the best things for our little ones and fur babies. The beach being in walking distance was also a huge plus.I would definitely stay here again. The rental agency, owners direct vacation rentals also went above and beyond to accommodate our needs! Our family really enjoyed ourselves on this vacation.

Second Time!

Wonderful week for Family
We had all the family(12) together for a fun and relaxing stay in NMB. This property was just perfect for those things. We loved the proximity to the beach. And it was central to most of what NMB has to offer. The pool was perfect for anytime swimming. And the 4 kids loved sleeping in their “fort” under the stairs. However, we never really figured out the televisions. Thank goodness they were never needed. We loved our vacation here and hope to go back in 2023.

THE BEST VACATION EVER
This was the first time I ever rented a house on vacation. We usually stay with family. But with 7 adults and 2 dogs ( 1 German Shepherd and 1 Lab Mix ) we needed something a little bigger and accommodating for everyone even the fur babies. I was hoping the relaxation n crescent beach house was exactly as stated in the description. You spend a lot of money and time planning your trip you want it to be perfect. THIS WAS PERFECT!! It was BEAUTIFUL, CLEAN, SPACIOUS IT WAS HOME AWAY FROM HOME. With a walk to the beach, a golf car ride away from shops, food, mini golf it was great. And for me sitting pool side with the fur-babies and family was all I needed. DEFINITELY LOOKING TO MAKE THIS A YEARLY TRIP!!

Could have been better for the money
We had ants in kitchen and bathrooms. Had to try and keep them out of food and drinks. Wish we would have had a tv in each bedroom. For the amount of $ this rental cost you would expect it. Other then that everything was good. BEST PART IS THE POOL!!

Decent Rental Close to Beach
Overall, the house was fine.

Pros - 5 minute walk to the beach. Having a pool was super fun. I like how it was pet friendly. It was mostly clean. Close to restaurants and things to do. The internet was good. There were enough appliances, dishware and cookware.

Cons - old house that’s been fixed up a bit. My husband and I woke up every morning stuffed up with sore throats. Its only big enough to hold four adults and their kids. It’s too small for more than four adults. If you’re staying for more than a few days bring toilet paper, paper towels, and garbage bags. There is no dish soap or laundry detergent even though they require you to wash the pool towels. The pantry area is weird and run down.

We had a really nice time. You are paying for the location which was excellent, but it’s always disappointing to pay so much and then get something run down. I wouldn’t stay here again.

We are surprised to hear that you thought it was run down. This home has both original cottage charm and new refurbished features such as, new remodeled bathrooms, kitchen updates, a new pool, there is new tile flooring in the entry and the restored original hard woods just to mention a few. As far as your toiletry needs, we provide you with a "starter kit" of paper products and soap items, to get you by until you can get to the store to get what you need. This owner consistently adds thoughtful improvements and will continue to do so as time allows, in the off-season, between all of it's bookings.

Great location
The house is located in a great community just a short walk from the beach access. Crescent beach is BEAUTIFUL.
However, the house itself fell short of expectation. The bedroom set up wasn’t ideal as most of the sleeping space was downstairs, with one bedroom upstairs. Good for friends not necessarily families. The beds themselves were not very comfortable and the pillows were definitely needing to be replaced.
Seating was limited for a rental that “sleeps” this amount of people. Even outdoors. Comfort across the board was lacking. The washer and dryer were convenient but the set up should be reevaluated. You can’t see the settings on the dryer with them stacked. And please update the refrigerator to ice/water dispenser! Ice cube trays are not what renters expect in 2022.
Outdoors-we expected the pool to be cool. No problem. But, they did not mention it had a leak and we had to refill it which meant extra cold hose water. Pool company also had to come out and “shock” it because it was murky, which took 2 days.
Lastly, the rental company was helpful. Especially the last man that came out. He was friendly and went out of his way to help. Thank you! With that said, from a safety standpoint, if sending staff to the house, please do announce they will be coming. The first person that came out was not in a uniform, or company car and I had to trust he actually was from the company. Also, with the large sign in the flower bed advertising the company-anyone could say that’s where they are from. Safety!!!

Nice House, Needs better furniture
We enjoyed our stay, house was nice and the pool was excellent! House layout is a bit different but it works. We would’ve preferred more seating options in the “living room” space. Considering it is a 4 bedroom house it only has comfortable seating for 3-4 people. There is easily room for better seating options. Owners did provide pool towels and toys with was a nice touch. Did have a couple items broken upon arrival but called the rental company and they told us they were already aware.

Fun No. Myrtle Beach stay
Had a great time. We found the home to be very pleasant. Only complaint is that the house number is completely illegible from the street. We had two Amazon packages returned as undeliverable because the delivery driver could not read the numbers on the outside.

Family COVID relief
Great family vacation! More than enough room for our 5 adults, 2 kids and 2 chihuahuas. Beach was closer than expected for our daily peaceful walks. The pool was the perfect relief from our daily walks. The house was well stock from the kitchen to the pool towels. We enjoyed a nearby fishing expedition, parasailing, river and waterway tours, golf and shopping. The pictures and descriptions don't do it justice. The staff was very flexible rescheduling from last year due to COVID and made check in and check out a snap. Will definitely recommend to family and friends.

Spring Break
We enjoyed our time at this quiet family friendly home for our Spring Break vacation! The home was located in a nice area with helpful neighbors and a very short walk to the beach! House was clean, kitchen well stocked, and pool was heating for my kids enjoyment! The lighting on the first floor needs some updating, just a bit dark in the kitchen. The pool area was great to relax, but the landscaping could use some TLC (tall weeds, garbage, overgrown bushes, etc.). The grill situation worked, but could use an upgrade as both were very well used. Otherwise, a perfect spot for some fun and sun!

The Great Escape
The house was very accomaditing for 5 padults. There was defineately room for more kids (which we didn't bring any!) The pool heater didn't work very well so I wouldn't pay the extra $ until it gets fixed. The living room was limited space if it was an "indoor day" it would been very crowded. The grill is charcoal and the charcoal wasn't furnished. Now for the good stuff. We were a block from the beach and enjoyed beautiful sunrises every morning. The place was clean and easy to keep clean. There was plenty of out door space/seating. Shops and grocery stores near by. We had a great time and look forward to renting again next year!

Thank you for the detailed review. Glad to hear you plan to come back next year. This home is two floors, so spacious enough when everyone needs downtime to retreat to their own rooms. The owner does not provide charcoal but most of the time those items are left behind from guest to guest, during the busy summer season. It's not an inventoried item just because those things tend to appear and disappear from week to week. Thanks again for pointing out all of the positive experiences, such as great location, cleanliness and outdoor relaxation space by the pool. This home is a great place for making lifetime memories and ODVR is delighted to be a small part of that.

Great family place at Beach
We were pleased with the home at the beach. Nice exterior, and clean outside with nice double driveway. Inside done in knotty pine, which gave it a unique feel, which just happens to be the same wood on the walls of my den at home. I loved the wood. Nice bedrooms and rest rooms. Super nice pool with concrete deck and table with umbrella .. looked brand new. Good size with lights for night swims and lockable gate to keep children safe. Really nicely done upstairs master suite and bath.I would have liked more light in most rooms. One bath sink drained slowly, but was fixed in one day.

Amazing Vacation home
We have rented this house for 2 years in a row and we absolutely love it. The house is always super clean, the beds are very comfortable. This house is only a few minutes walk from the beach and it is in a quite neighborhood, it is not located in a party section and we love that so you feel comfortable walking around the neighborhood. We had one small issue last year and it was taken care of very quickly. Everything you need is right there in the house no matter if you are staying for a week or several weeks. I honestly wish I could give this house 10 stars. We hope to be able to rent this house for many years to come

Cozy North Myrtle Beach Cottage

Thank you for the great review. The owner has painstakingly remodeled this beach bungalow into a real gem! The details on the inside are a real surprise for every guest. New projects are on the list, but of course these things take time, so it's too soon to reveal what the future plans are. In the mean time, this home offers a private little getaway from the high-rise crowds. It's an easy stroll to a wonderful section of Crescent Beach or we recommend a golf cart rental to enjoy the neighborhood scenery and shuttle to the beach. Nice house - close to beach !
We had a lovely stay at this house ! It was close to beach - the house pool was clean and well maintained. The kitchen had good amount of utensils for us to cook during some days. All rooms had comfortable beds! They had good linens, towels, pool towels, etc. TV was working fine and all kitchen equipments and washer- dryer were working well ! I only have one small complaint - the shower in ground level bathroom that connects the 2 bedrooms was so small - you can’t even turn inside ! But otherwise we had a wonderful stay ! Thanks to vacation rentals and the owner for renting us this property.
